GUATEMALA – BILD INTERNATIONAL
Manuel and Annabella are involved in church planting and leadership training in Guatemala. Dr. Valverde began the Francisco Lacueva Theological Seminary (STFL) in 2012. They now have several men and women who are in the fourth year of studies and four of them are starting three new churches. The two main emphases of STFL are: Bible Exposition and Pastoral Application of the Biblical Truth. Their goal is to provide training to faithful men who are already in ministry and to establish and help local churches become self-sustainable, self-governing, and self-reproducing. Annabella works with administrative matters at STFL. Manuel continues teaching a Bible study on a local TV program. This provides unique opportunities to influence the Christian community in Guatemala (and other countries) with the Word. He also has teaching responsibilities at the Central American Theological Seminary.
- For an upcoming event in February where Manuel will be leading the ACTS seminar in Cuba.
- For a new couple attending their church who is seeking healing for their marriage.
- For a mission project that Iglesia Bíblica de Guatemala (the Valverde’s church) is supporting in a backwoods area in Quiché, Guatemala. There is no electricity nor running water in most of the 85 villages of this part of the country. Julio Estrada, a widower who is in his mid-sixties, is a pastor who has worked in the rural areas of Guatemala. His desire is to plant new churches there in Lancetillo, La Parroquia, and Quiché. Pray for the project and for Julio.
