UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – RAK CHURCH PLANT
The Manleys are living in the UAE working with the Ras Al Khaimah Church Plant. In 2013, the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, His Royal Highness Sheik Saud Bin Saqr al Qasimi, granted land on which an evangelical church building can be built. Remarkably, this church building is only the seventh evangelical church to be built on the entire Arabian Peninsula. Josh and Jenny moved to Ras al Khaimah in order to plant this church. The church is completed now and was dedicated in May 2017. CSPC was a partner in the building of the church.
RAK is located in the heart of the Middle East. It is positioned about 45 minutes north of Dubai and lies just 60 miles to the south of Iran on the Strait of Hormuz. Saudi Arabia is located immediately to its west, separated only by the Persian Gulf. Ras Al Khaimah’s strategic location in the basic center of the eastern hemisphere means that a total of 2 billion people can be reached by a four-hour plane ride from this emirate.
- That the new church will not grow weary in loving each other well inside their walls and sharing the good news faithfully outside the walls.
- For the many people attending the English for Non-Native Speakers classes on Friday mornings.
- For church members who are regularly traveling to Iraq ministering to refugees there.
- For the Manleys and their children as they build relationships and share the gospel.
