My next stop was Nepal which, as most of you know, was hit by two major earthquakes recently. In the main part of the city I was surprised by how many buildings had survived. We are told that in some villages outside of Kathmandu, the entire village was destroyed. This has been a great opportunity for the church to show love and mercy. The church will continue to care long after the relief agencies have left.
We met with about 8 “workers” from China who are doing an incredible job here. They are able to blend into the community so quickly and even though some have been here only a few months, they are already impacting people’s lives. – Piers
This is the fourth post giving you an inside look as CSPC’s Global Mission Director travels across three nations in Asia with long-time ministry partners. Their mission is to empower locals to carry God’s word throughout that part of the world. If you would like to give to the relief efforts in Nepal, you can do so here.
